Gum paste Phalaenopsis Blume or Moth Orchid Cake Decorations

This orchid has 5 petals. Every single petal is wired so they are not supposed to be eaten even though is it made with gumpaste. Its center is made very life-like and includes the Anther Cap, Column, Throat, Lip, and Labellum.

Moth orchids are extremely beautiful. Their center is so unique compared to other orchids' centers or throats such as the Cymbidium, Cattleya, and Dendrobium.


STORAGE: Even though these are made out of an edible product (gum paste), they are for decorating purposes only due to the fact that there are wires in these flowers. But they will last forever if you like, depending on how you store them. DO NOT put the flowers in the fridge, condensation may ruin them. The easiest way to care for them is to just put them in a rubber storage container lined with a paper towel on the bottom and place the flowers inside with the lid on the container and place them in a cool dry place, like the pantry or cupboard until ready to use. Long periods in the fridge may not be good, because of the condensation. I would say about 24 hours in the fridge is the max for them. They are very easily to place on the cake. Just stick them directly into the cake. ******FYI these will make a great keep sake as well for after the wedding. Just wipe off any of the frosting off the stem and put back in a rubber container

As for package and shipping on these items, I use a very sturdy box, that can withstand 200lb of pressure per square inch before bursting the box. I also use A LOT of bubble wrap and wrap all of my items very well.

SHIPPING: I usually ship things out via USPS, but if you are wanting to use a different carrier, I can do that, but please contact me before placing order. You will receive an email through www.stamps.com about your order once a shipping label has been printed out letting you know that your order is on it's way to you. There will be a delivery confirmation number also so that you may tracking your order ( this applies to orders within the United States and for International mail, delivery confirmation are only applied to orders being shipped out either EXPRESS OR PRIORITY MAIL SERVICES.)
